I know its impractical, but sometimes when I’m bored I like to imagine what my apartment will look like when I move out. While that alone isn’t that impractical, the items I seem to be furnishing my fantasy condo are. Still, it’s fun to pretend that when I move out I’ll be rich enough to buy a place with stairs like this…

Last night after work instead of running madly for the train I ended up killing time in Toronto. My friend Michelle was in a run, and asked to meet me after it for dinner and I’m always up for some quality Sprucie time. Aparna met me after work and we went to the Silver Snail to kill some time (and possibly buy season eight buffy comics…) before going to the predetermined pub for dinner. Michelle picked it out, the Jersey Giant. I didn’t really think about the name until I googled an image search about five minutes ago and discovered it’s a giant chicken. Awesome! Anyways the pub was really great, as expected of a pub on front st, within a stone’s throw of the St. Lawrence Market. The food was tasty and it wasn’t to pricy. Michelle said the beer was pretty good, and considering my drinking habits, I’ll just have to take her word on that one. Definitely will be going there again!

This is it! This is the year! I wont miss it this time around! This year I WILL be at the international pillow fight in Toronto! The people who unofficially organize the event now have a great (and easy to follow) website where they post about all the free random events around Toronto, including the International Pillow fight! It’s going to be April 2 nd at 8pm, and I’m counting the days!

Last weekend My friends and I participated in Winterlicious as we usually do. This year the planning was actually taken over by lynn, who did a marvelous job of organizing who was coming, travel and picking a restaurant. We ended up at the Toula, a restaurant at the very top of the Westen hotel on the waterfront. Apparently it used to rotate, but it was either not working or frozen when we were there. The menu was perfect for all of our different tastes (Aparnas Butternut squash ravioli was delicious!) More importantly we got to see some friends we don’t get to see very often as well as lauras engagement ring! Can’t wait till Summerlicious!
